I’m a freelance editor, book coach, writer, and mama (expecting a new baby boy on November 12!). I enjoy a multitude of genres and characters but I specialize in books that include strong female-identifying characters.
All About Me
The world of literature has always been a safe space for me. Growing up, I was awkward and weird, didn’t make friends very easily, and being in a military family that moved every two to three years didn’t help much. I found my solace inside books. I wrote stories all the time and dreamed of becoming a famous author.
It wasn’t until I studied Literature at the University of South Carolina that I discovered my favorite classes were the workshops, because that’s when I helped other writers shape their work creatively into something brilliant. When I read an author’s story that they’ve entrusted to me, I am dedicated and bound to crafting their words, making it even more powerful. My purpose is not to change your art, but to help better position it in a gallery so more people can be swept away by your words.
These days, you can usually find me with coffee or sourdough starter in hand, chasing my two (soon to be three!) little boys while balancing business and motherhood. Disclaimer: there’s no balance, only the dance. I love cooking, reading, fitness, and learning everything I can about productivity, wellness, business, and powerful women.
Most recently, I launched a brand-new coaching program—something I’ve been building quietly behind the scenes and am so excited to finally share. It’s designed especially for busy moms who are ready to stop stalling and truly move forward with their books. While my editing calendar is booking into January 2025 and beyond, I’m still accepting coaching clients until my remaining spots are filled.
